New York, New York!

We are delighted to announce the debut of our new flagship showroom in New York City. Our new U.S. home is located on 54 Greene Street, between Broome and Grand in the heart of Soho’s most luxurious shopping district.

Our new 2,000 square foot showroom features the beloved hallmarks of a classic Soho store: soaring ceilings, striking Corinthian columns and rich, dark wood floors.

Last week, we celebrated our brand new New York boutique, and invited guests, customers and journalists to take a look themselves!

We also revealed a new and exciting collaboration with a renowned French architect and interior designer… which will be revealed in good time - watch this space!

If you find yourself in New York, why not pop in for a visit? Our Greene Street showroom is open seven days a week from 11AM - 6PM Monday-Saturday and 12PM – 6PM on Sunday.

Bonjour, 164 Rue de Faubourg Saint-Honore!

We’re excited to announce the opening of our beautiful new Paris showroom! Our new Parisian home is set on 164 Rue de Faubourg Saint-Honore – one of the most luxurious and fashionable streets in the world.

Our MD, Alistair, with Laila and Gillian in Paris
Dating back to the mid-19th century, the boutique spans across two floors and has been refurbished with its’ stunning original features intact. These renovations include beautiful, ornate ceiling mouldings and the repair of a sweeping wrought iron suspended staircase which acts as a main feature in the store.

Finished to an exceptional standard, the showroom features dramatic herringbone patterned smoked oak flooring, which complements the white gallery-like space to perfection.

To celebrate the opening of our glorious new boutique, the team in Paris took part in The GREAT Britain campaign, alongside the British embassy. The campaign is designed to showcase the best of what the UK has to offer to inspire the world and encourage people to visit, do business, invest and study in the UK. It is the Government’s most ambitious international promotional campaign ever, uniting the efforts of the public and private sector to generate jobs and growth for Britain.

Last Thursday, the campaign trail hit our new home, Rue de Faubourg Saint-Honore, with a huge event to celebrate Great Britain and the much-loved British brands who call the street their home.

Our  wonderful Winston bed appeared on a black cab
With red double-decker busses, black cabs, phoneboxes and policemen all contributing to the British theme, the day was a true celebration and a perfect time for us to open the doors to our new showroom!

Laila and Gillian , who run the Savoir Paris boutique, were on hand to meet and greet customers and tell event-goers all about our heritage and brand. They also had a great time in the process!

British flags were waving all along the street
If you find yourself in Paris, stop by and check out our new home!

The Savoir Signature Style

Our story began in 1889, with a man named Richard D'Oyly Carte. A famous impresario, D'Oyly Carte opened The Savoy Hotel in London - designed to be the most innovative and glamorous place anyone could ever hope to lay their head. He succeeded, with no stone left unturned when it came to luxury.

During a hotel refit in 1905 - D'Oyly Carte felt no current bed available matched the levels of luxury The Savoy was now famous for, so he employed the prestigious upholsterer James Edwards to create the Savoy Bed. This design later became our Savoir No2 model, which still to this day features a very special mattress material.

The beautiful, 100% natural fabric still used in our mattresses, toppers and boxspring cases is our trademark Trellis design, a jacquard (self-patterned) weave created by Lady D'Oyly Carte, Richard's wife, in 1905 and used ever since.

It comes in 3 chic colours: white, grey and silver, and has become a Savoir signature feature!
