In the Valleys

Yesterday, on the hottest day of the year so far, we took a trip to our Welsh bedworks in Cardiff.

Following a long train to the Welsh capital, we boarded a ‘little’ train to Taff's Well and were collected by our Savoir Beds van and taken back to the bedworks.

Upon arrival, we enjoyed a lovely cup of tea and a Welsh cake before setting off on our tour of the site.

We were really lucky to try for ourselves some of the artisan techniques Savoir have been using for over 100 years. This exercise included side stitching and tufting a mattress, stitching springs in place and even hammering in nails!

Whilst with no injuries to report, we can confirm that some of these techniques are a lot harder than they look!

After a spot of lunch, we grabbed the team for a group photo in the sun. As you can see it really was a lovely sunny day!

We hope you enjoy looking at some pictures of our wonderful day in Wales. It was a long journey home and we were pleased to have a little shut eye on the train!

Thanks to the team at the Welsh bedworks for a lovely day and for our pillows!
