Launch of the Royal State Bed in Beijing

Yesterday The British Ambassador’s Residence in Beijing was the setting for the launch of the Royal State bed.
The event was a success with members of the press and VIP's keen to get a look at and even lay on 'the worlds most expensive bed'.

The Savoir Royal State Bed, featured previously in our blog, will now travel to Shanghai and will be on display at the Shanghai JSWB expo from the 10th of September to the 7th of October. The bed will then travel to Taipei for its next event!

Ultimately, a "great night's sleep" is what it's all about, says Savoir Beds' Beijing Manager Peter Liu, "It's an investment that pays off every morning of your life."

Liu explains, “of course it's a massive amount of money and it will only appeal to the very lucky and very wealthy; but if you're buying Gucci handbags, a suit from Saville Row or a Rolls Royce, you're looking for the best… the very best.  Furthermore, you spend a third of your life in bed so why not spend it as comfortably as possible?"

Summing up Liu muses, “There is a Chinese proverb -The loss of one night's sleep is followed by ten days of inconvenience; not if you go to sleep on a Savoir.
